Cancellation Policy
Welcome to Sigma Centrum Counseling. To provide the highest quality of clinical care and ensure a seamless scheduling experience, please review our booking, cancellation, and communication policies prior to scheduling an appointment. By booking a session, you agree to the terms outlined below. 1. Booking and Financial Terms Payment: Fees for services are due at the time of the session. Late Arrivals: If you are running late, please notify us as soon as possible. Your session will still end at its originally scheduled time to respect the next client, and you will be responsible for the cancellation fee. Arriving more than 15 minutes late without notice will be treated as a No-Show. 2. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy We understand that life happens; however, your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. Notice Requirement: We require at least 24 hours' advance notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late Cancellation & No-Show Fees: Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your appointment time, as well as missed appointments (No-Shows), will incur a fee of $85.00 . Insurance Note: Please be aware that insurance companies do not reimburse for missed or late-canceled appointments. You will be personally responsible for this fee. 3. Email and SMS (Text) Appointment Reminders As a courtesy, our automated system can send you appointment confirmations and reminders via email and/or SMS text messaging. Consent & Opt-In: By checking the opt-in box during the online booking process or providing your cell phone number/email address, you explicitly consent to receive automated appointment reminders. Frequency: You may receive up to 2 messages per scheduled appointment. Opt-Out: You can modify your preferences or opt out of these reminders at any time. To stop text reminders, simply reply STOP to any message. To stop email reminders, click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email or contact our office directly. 4. Privacy, Security, and HIPAA Compliance Notice Your privacy is our utmost priority. Because standard email and standard cellular SMS text messages are not fully encrypted from end-to-end, they pose inherent security risks. Interception by third parties is rare but possible.
